Something different I decided to experiment with since I mostly design and paint human characters. I always loved designing dragons too and it will be good practice to try painting various textures.

Link In December 2020, Monstercat hosted an art contest and invited fans to come up with an artwork that best represents the label, the community and the spirit of the New Year. The winner gets to have their artwork featured as the label's first post of 2021 among other prizes. Although I've taken part in art contests in the past, this is the first contest I joined from Monstercat. I spent a few days brainstorming ideas and decided to have something involving a more 'impressionistic' background that represents various aspects of the Monstercat fanbase The original idea had a globe behind the mascots to represent fans around the world but it ended up looking like an Earth Day drawing so I changed it to something that involves lasers to represent online concerts. I also experimented a lot with the colours before settling for mostly pink and blue. All in all, it was a fun contest and I'm surprised and happy to have won.
This is the motion graphics done for Pixel Terror and Pals Vol. 8 This is the first time I did motion graphics on an art work that wasn't originally mine or collaborated with. The original art was done by Bentley himself. Process log: When I received the file, I cleaned up the layers to smaller ones. Most of the layers for text are already separated so it's easy for me to work with. The hardest part were the characters. I wanted them to be animated so I had to add my own separation to them. Here is Bentley's character. The one on the left is the original. The right one shows one of his bangs cut off; the process is repeated for the other parts of his hair. I filled the missing areas while following the design as best as I could. I also cut out his arm and added the rest of the guitar details.
